Spanish veteran Mavi Garcia won the second stage of the women's Tour de France on Sunday as Mauritius' Kim Le Court finished the day in the race leader's yellow jersey -- a first for an African rider.

M avi García (Liv AlUla Jayco) won stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes, holding off the peloton on the uphill finish in Quimper. The 41-year-old Spaniard attacked 10.8km from the line and went all-in to build a 20-second advantage.

Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) finished second on stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes, outsprinting everyone in the peloton on the uphill finish in Quimper but having late attacker Mavi García (Liv AlUla Jayco) cross the finish line three seconds ahead of her.
