Amazon Electric Delivery Van According to a recent report by CNBC, the e-commerce giant has agreed to order 100,000 electric vans from Rivian, which should hit the roads sometime in 2030.

The van is one of three vehicles Amazon has commissioned Rivian to develop, and we should see it hit the road in 2021. Amazon will have electric vans on the road earlier in parts of Europe, however.

Amazon and Rivian haven’t released many details about the powertrain of the electric delivery van, but with the announcement today, they have confirmed that it has a range of up to 150 miles.

Amazon said this fleet of Rivian-built vans will take millions of metric tons of carbon out of the air by 2030. We'll first see the vans hit the road in 2021 with a deployment of 10,000.
