We need to ensure that the partition style is a GUID Partition Table (GPT) or a Master Boot Record (MBR). For that, run list disk. Check if the “Gpt” column contains an asterisk (*).

I know it works with RHEL 5. I have a file server that has 2 3TB arrays and they have to be formatted with GPT to work. You cant have mbr on disks larger than 2 TB.
