The chair of the Texas House Democratic caucus remained defiant Thursday in the face of one US senator’s bid to enlist the FBI’s help in returning him and his state House colleagues to the state.

Michael McAuliffe, former prosecutor and former state attorney, told Newsweek the FBI's involvement is "well beyond alarming."

Texas, got approval for the FBI to help Texas law enforcement locate state legislators who have fled the state to prevent a quorum and stall the legislative process.
