The magnitude 2.7 tremor was reported to have occurred in New Jersey Tuesday afternoon, leading to warnings being issued in the Big Apple

The epicenter of the 3.0-magnitude quake, which struck around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, was near Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

An earthquake rocked New Jersey late Saturday night — luckily, though, fairly softly. It was reported to be a magnitude 3 quake, generally considered to be a minor, “low energy event” that would not be extremely noticeable or cause extensive damage.
