If you want to upgrade storage on your Raspberry Pi, you can easily clone your microSD card to the larger one or to an NVMe SSD. Here's how.
I'm looking to update a Sony VAIO 13" laptop running Windows 10 from a 128GB NVMe SSD (PCIe 2.0 4x) to a 500GB NVMe SSD (PCIe 3.0 4x, Samsung 970 EVO).
You can use the SD card cloning utility included in Raspberry Pi OS. Alternatively, if you'd rather take the command-line junkie route, mount the new SSD as /mnt/ssd and sync with sudo rsync -aAXv ...
When it finishes, eject the SD card and re-insert it into your Raspberry Pi. When you boot it up, it should be in the exact same state it was in when you first cloned the SD card.
