Code.org is encouraging kids to “join the Dance Party” by coding choreography to the Coldplay single “Higher Power.” Dance Party teaches kids to code in a 10-step tutorial.

Today, Hour of Code has reached tens of millions of students in more than 180 countries. Kids can try free coding projects through the Code.org website.

Microsoft and Code.org have come together to debut Minecraft Designer, a free tutorial for students aged 6 and up that uses the Minecraft environment to teach coding.

In the recent years, coding has made a comeback. However, according to the nonprofit Code.org, when compared with other countries, the United States lags behind.

Primarily through its Hour of Code program, Code.org has already helped expose more than 44 million students to coding.
