Google launched a new system of digital addresses called Plus Codes, enabling anyone to create a short code representing a location anywhere on the planet.

Two years ago, Google open-sourced Plus Codes, a digital addressing system to help billions of people navigate to places that don’t have clear addresses.

Google adds that the technology behind Codes is open-source. If you’re looking to share another location, hold and press on the map location, and you’ll get a Plus Code for that location too.
