In celebration of the launch of Windows 10, Minecraft developer Mojang is offering the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition beta for free at the moment. Here is how to avail of this sweet offer.

Minecraft Java Edition is one of the more popular versions of the game, built on its original form. The game, and it's trial variant, are available for download from the official Minecraft website.

If you missed your chance the first time around, Mojang has allowed more players to redeem their free copy of Minecraft on Windows 10 if they already own the Java Edition.

You can get the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta on Microsoft's new OS for free if you've already bought Minecraft for PC or Mac.

Today, given the fact that Windows 10 is launching tomorrow (July 29) Mojang posted instructions (via GameSpot) on how you can get your hands on your free copy of the game on its official website.
