Like any good IDE, there’s built-in highlighting and documentation, and a small bit of Java allows you to upload your code and monitor the serial port right in the browser.
It’s now Arduino IDE 2.2.0. The new features include Board and Port auto-selection improvements, performance improvements, a smaller download size, and a new CLI (command line interface) version.
It generates the clock, acts like a serial port, acts like a disk drive, and so on. However, the ATMega32 doesn’t directly have Arduino IDE support so you have to install a toolchain for it.
