Liverpool saw their reported £110 million bid for Newcastle ’s Alexander Isak refused this Friday, and seem unlikely to offer an improved bid. Though the offer is well below Newcastle’s £150 million valuation, ESPN report that the “nature” of the refusal suggests a renewed bid would be “pointless.”

Liverpool holds an interest in the Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. The Magpies have now tabled an offer for a forward who could be viewed as a replacement.

Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has described the situation with Alexander Isak as “complex” and “far from ideal.” Isak has made it clear that he wants to leave Newcastle this summer and was left out of the squad for their pre-season tour to Singapore and South Korea.
