Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, after answering questions for six hours on Thursday, is expected to have a second meeting Friday with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence at a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with her on Thursday in an attempt to quell a firestorm over the Trump administration’s backtracking on promises to release additional records from the Epstein investigation.

President Trump, asked whether he would consider pardoning her, said, “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I haven’t thought about.”

Although the meeting with the Department of Justice isn't occurring there, eyes are turning to the state capital's federal women's prison that houses Ghislaine Maxwell, former girlfriend to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and herself a convicted sex trafficker.

A former staffer for the attorney general predicted that Trump could be pursuing a deal with Epstein’s closest ally.

Convicted sex trafficker may testify before Congress next month, and experts told Newsweek the questions they hope will be asked.
