OpenAI is providing access to its ChatGPT product to US federal agencies at a nominal cost of $1 a year as part of a push to get its AI chatbot more widely adopted.

OpenAI announced it will offer ChatGPT to the agencies in the federal executive branch for $1. The partnership is with the General Services Administration.

GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum in a statement encouraged “other American AI technology companies to follow OpenAI’s lead and work with us.”
