Amtrak’s “Next Generation” Debuts Soon: As noted here many times, the sleek new Acela train sets for Amtrak—sets assembled in Hornell, NY at the Alstom facility there—will rollout in the next 48 hours. These are three of the sets after being pulled out of Hornell over the last two autumn seasons. 28 sets in total are being assembled by Alstom—many have been completed and are on the verge of being integrated onto Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor that runs between Boston and Washington, D.C.. Wednesday
